RoboKind is a Dallas-based company whose mission is to create cost-effective and inclusive education for all. Working with experts in the autism community and school systems around the world, RoboKind has developed two products, Robots4Autism and Robots4STEM, to give children opportunities to realize their potential and pursue their passions for all things tech related.
Working closely with the ASD community, RoboKind has developed Robots4Autism and Milo, a socially advanced robot, who’s proven effectiveness with learners with ASD is over 80 percent as opposed to the 3 percent for traditional therapy. Milo never gets tired, never gets frustrated, and is always consistent, which is important when teaching through repetition. His friendly demeanor and patience encourage ASD learners to step out of their shell and gives them the courage to interact with their environment.
To continue their mission of diverse and inclusive education, RoboKind created Robots4STEM, giving children the building blocks for computer science. Using the drag and drop programming language, children learn the logic of programming and how to control Jett, a humanoid robot. The comprehensive curriculum and ready-to-use lessons are designed to teach children at any age.
TechXtend is recent addition to the RoboKind family, receiving exclusive reseller rights of their products to the public-sector market in North America. By partnering with RoboKind, we offer solutions that make a difference, servicing the STEM and Autism communities in ways like never before. Jett allows students to explore technology in a familiar way, creating a fun experience while teaching the fundamentals of coding and computer science. Milo provides children with Autism a comforting and calm way to interact with their peers through technology, while learning key social skills. Milo engages with children in ways that humans cannot, allowing students to open-up more than they would have, prior to meeting Milo. Recently, TechXtend formed a National partnership with DisruptED TV, an education technology company focused on providing free and on-demand professional development. At the forefront of this partnership is the TechXtend relationship with RoboKind, as Dr. Gregory Firn, COO of Robokind and Mr. Kevin Askew, Vice President & General Manager of TechXtend will engage in a discussion about Milo during an upcoming episode of DisruptED TV.
